I am so excited to offer Level I as a hybrid training. With a comprehensive yet succinct library of pre-workshop videos, this means that we can get much of the theory out of the way, and have much more time on 31st for practise, Q&As, and integration.

Awaken your powers of self healing, with the Usui system of Reiki energy healing. This small group program (limited to 10 students) is suitable for absolute beginners, and will teach you how to use Reiki for healing yourself and your loved ones.

Reiki is a healing modality which works on your energetic body (electromagnetic field/aura), to clear stuck stagnant energy and old patterns which are no longer serving you. It is deeply restorative for your nervous system and is such a wonderful tool if you suffer from anxiety or insomnia.

Important note: After 7 years, my business is evolving from the Joanna Tolley brand to School for Embodied Healers. This training will be held by myself, AND supported by three of the School’s founding teachers. There will also be two teacher trainees attending to assist. This means that instead of just one teacher, there will be 5 experienced practitioners in the room supporting you - that means heaps more 1:1 mentoring during the practise sessions Plus is gives you a taste of the community, and pathways to growth, that we are providing through the School as we move into 2026 and beyond. Reiki Level I is a catalyst for self healing. The energy attunement you receive clears and opens your central energetic channel so that you can channel Reiki healing energy through your palms for the rest of your life. This attunement facilitates a profound healing, as layers of old programming and beliefs are released so that you can be a clear channel. Many people report huge positive shifts in their life after Reiki I (after each level the shifts become even bigger!), as they release old patterns and start aligning more fully with their soul path. Your vibration will be permanently raised, so anything low vibrational in your life will start to fall away and you’ll begin to magnetise more ease and joy. Reiki also helps to connect you with your Higher Self and your intuition, so you can move through life with more clarity and inner guidance.

You will learn:

  • The History & Principles of Reiki

  • How Reiki works

  • How to sense areas of imbalance within the energy field and use Reiki to bring back optimal energy flow

  • Reiki 1 Hand Positions

  • How to heal yourself with Reiki

  • How to heal others with Reiki (people, plants, and pets!)

All the details:

  • Completion of the online elements is a pre-requisite to attend the in-person workshop

  • You will be paired up to practise healing on other students. By signing up you give permission for others to practise healing on you, supervised by me.

  • Water, tea, and light snacks will be available

  • There will be a 40 minute lunch break around midday. Please bring your lunch with you (there is a fridge available to use).

  • Please note that this is not a practitioner level training. If you would like to practise Reiki on paying clients, you will need to progress to Reiki Level II or above (dates for these courses to be announced soon)
